The project presented several objective and “almost” normal difficulties for buildings of this type:
Major water seepage on the floor, from upstream to downstream, some rising damp spots,
with water and air passages from the roof, the junction with the perimeter walls, etc. .
Our intervention immediately solved the problems of continuous floor flooding, complicit with
bring continuous inward moisture and then, following that, all the other issues present.
The refurbishment, in part, of the stone roofing and the arrangement with rehabilitation of the entire roof, has
certainly added comfort that allows the home to be lived in even during cold times of the year.
Last but not least, the sewage problem was solved, which changed from a leaking well to a multi-chambered settling collector (tank), and the sanitary and heating system, supported by solar paneling and gas boiler.
New interior ceiling and wall coverings, new fixtures, flooring, accessories, and furnishings completed the work and breathed new life into an already attractive and distinctive rustic house.
